Living a somewhat solo life can be… exhilarating, challenging, worthwhile!

It’s rare to be completely solo through life’s journey. Whether by choice or chance, the odds of having a solo lifestyle increase as we grow older, but it can happen at any age. Being alone should not equate to loneliness. In fact, it can open a world of possibilities to meet others, explore the world, expand our perspective, and know ourselves more intimately. Be curious, be brave!

Janice Benggio

Janice Benggio is a blogger, storyteller, mom & grandmother, somewhat retiree, consultant, native Floridian, and a slightly quirky person who is always ready for a new adventure, and connecting with acquaintances, old and new. As a single person, this may mean a solo trek, but not always. The world is ours to discover and share with others.

This platform is a combination of stories and articles, advice and tips, encouragement and helpful information, along with images and videos from my experiences living a somewhat solo life. It includes stories from others I’ve met along my journey who have interesting things to share. I hope you’ll find a blend of humor, entertainment, heartfelt and moving passages, and real-life tips to benefit your life, bring a smile, or touch some emotion deep within. The human connection is the basis of our entwined connections. We need each other, regardless of whether we are pair-bonded, somewhat alone, or completely solo.

Come along and let’s do it together.

the legal stuff

No content in this website is intended to constitute professional advice for which a license is required, as I am not a doctor, lawyer, accountant, real estate agent, etc. Always seek professional advice from a qualified expert for matters requiring such advice. However, I am a person who has seen a lot, done a lot, and lived through difficult, fun, exhilarating, and triumphant things. My experiences and advice are from my perspective or from others’ perspectives. It’s real-life experience that makes me an “expert” in certain areas, or at least I like to write about it. I’ve earned several degrees and certifications, and they are useful to know about for my professional consulting roles. But this is a different level and should be accepted as such. Friends and family have often said my crazy life can be helpful to others, sometimes as what should or could be done, and sometimes more like what should not be done. Hey, I lived to tell the tales of my experiences, so maybe they’ll be helpful for others. I love to write and share, so that’s what this is all about. Enjoy!
